Hi
I asked a few weeks ago about DV video decks on the iMac and MacHead suggested the new box from Formac called Studio.
After looking into the specs, I decided to buy one. It has a radio and TV tuner, but more importantly allows users to import analogue video footage over the Firewire port.
So far, I can honestly say that the quality is fantastic! It works perfectly with iMovie2 and Premiere, although obviously it does not remote control the deck, being analogue. It seems to be using a hardware DV compression and it really is good.
Highly recommended, check out further details on www.formac.co.uk
Take care
Simon
